Green Development Through Unity, Building a New Chapter for the Industry

On March 4, 2025, the Shandong Building Energy Efficiency Association successfully held its annual work meeting in Liaocheng. The meeting comprehensively reviewed the achievements of 2024 and outlined key tasks for 2025. Attendees included the association’s rotating chairman, representatives from member companies, and officials from relevant industry regulatory departments, all gathered to explore new pathways for industry advancement.  

Review and Planning Hand in Hand  

The meeting reviewed and approved the ‘2024 Work Summary’ and ‘2025 Work Plan’, clarifying key directions for the new year:  

Deepening Government-Enterprise Collaboration: Strengthen regular communication with housing and urban-rural development departments to align industry needs with policy support.  

Enhancing Member Services: Provide targeted training and resource-sharing opportunities to support technological upgrades and standard implementation.  

Expanding Industry Influence: Foster cross-regional and cross-sector exchanges to promote advanced technologies and management practices.  

Government, Industry, Academia, and Research Unite for Progress  

Chen Hengsheng, Deputy Director of the Chiping District Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, commended the association’s role in industry leadership and standard promotion, emphasizing the need to further strengthen its bridging function to align policies with market demands.  

Liu Qingtang, Vice President of Shandong Urban Construction Vocational College, proposed three key suggestions:  

1. Proactively collaborate with regulatory bodies to undertake technical service initiatives.  

2. Strengthen cooperation with other industry associations.  

3. Expand membership coverage to consolidate industry efforts.

Practical Discussions Yield Consensus  

Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on industry trends, forming constructive recommendations:  

- Improve the promotion mechanism for building energy-efficient technologies.  

- Explore(school-enterprise cooperation) talent development models.  

- Facilitate(experience-sharing) on energy-efficient retrofits for existing buildings.

Field Visits and Ideological Education

During the meeting, attendees toured ‘Shandong Yiheng New Materials Technology Co., Ltd.’ and ‘Shandong Times Plastic Co., Ltd.’, gaining insights into R&D innovations and smart manufacturing practices.  

The event concluded with a group visit to the ‘Kong Fansen Memorial Hall’, where historical records and exhibits highlighted his spirit of grassroots dedication and selfless service. Participants expressed their commitment to integrating this ethos into industry development, contributing to the green transformation of urban and rural construction.  

Next Steps

The association will establish a task force to implement key initiatives, refine responsibilities, and conduct regular progress reviews to ensure annual goals are met. By pooling industry expertise and enhancing service effectiveness, it aims to drive the high-quality development of Shandong’s building energy efficiency sector.
